Tyler was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2009. As an undergraduate, Tyler was admitted to Beta Gamma Sigma and interned with the United States Golf Association. In law school, Tyler was a member of the South Carolina Law Review. Tyler was named to the Order of the Wig and Robe and received CALI (American Jurisprudence) awards in Legal Research and Legal Drafting. Tyler was a student member of the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court.

Tyler works primarily in the areas of school and employment law with an emphasis on all types of litigation, construction and procurement issues, and student and personnel matters.
