Matt was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2006. While in law school, he served as Articles Editor to the American Bar Association's Real Property Probate & Trust Journal and was a recipient of the G.G. Dowling Scholarship. Prior to law school, he worked for Carolina First Bank as a commercial credit analyst, branch manager, and commercial loan officer.

Matt is a member of the South Carolina Bar, Richland County Bar Association and South Carolina Council of School Attorneys.
