Meet
Our Attorneys Keith R. Powell
Keith was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1996, to the Kansas Bar in 1997, and to the South Carolina Bar in 2001. He is also admitted to appear before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Fourth Circuits. He has been a member of the Council of School Attorneys since 1998. After assisting a successful congressional campaign in 1996, Keith worked for the Fields & Brown Law Firm in Kansas City. The firm represented the Kansas City School District in its desegregation case as well as in union grievance, union negotiation, and employment discrimination matters. In 1997, Keith became the chief attorney for Missouri School Boards' Association's Policy Services Department. He later became the Director of Policy Services. Keith joined Childs & Halligan, P.A., in July 2000. Education Law Keith works in all areas of school law, with emphasis on construction, procurement, finance, voting issues, and local legislation. History, Philosophy,1993 Professional Associations and Memberships: American Bar Association Keith grew up in Columbia, Missouri and has strong family ties to public education. Two of his grandparents were lifelong teachers. Keith's mother is a retired media center director.
